Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector / Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Operator to join our manufacturing quality assurance team. This role is essential in ensuring that products meet stringent quality standards and comply with ISO regulations. The successful candidate will operate advanced measurement equipment, including coordinate measuring machines, and perform comprehensive inspections to uphold product integrity. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to continuous quality improvement processes within a dynamic aerospace environment, supporting the delivery of high-precision components that meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to perform detailed dimensional inspections.
• Conduct quality inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies, verifying conformance to design specifications and tolerances.
• Collect and analyze measurement data accurately, documenting findings in compliance with ISO 9001, FDA regulations, and other relevant quality standards.
• Perform regular calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Participate in quality audits and assessments, identifying non-conformities and supporting corrective action initiatives.
• Support manufacturing teams by providing real-time feedback on quality issues and assisting in process adjustments.
• Conduct analysis of inspection results to identify trends or recurring issues, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Experience

• Proven experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) within a manufacturing or quality control environment.
• Proven experience with manual measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gages, etc.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards
• Proven experience with open plate set up a huge plus!
