Power Plant Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor power plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and environmental regulations.
  • Supervise Utility Plant Operators and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Maintain operational logs, inspection records, and performance reports.
  • Respond to emergencies and support campus energy needs 24/7.

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts Second Class or higher Stationary Engineer’s License.
  • 3–5 years of steam plant operations experience, including supervisory duties.
  • Strong technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
