CNC Machinist
Job Description
Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist and a CNC Lathe Machinist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, ideally with aerospace experience. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work collaboratively. We are a true job shop so if you enjoy variety in your work, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Utilize tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and power tools to measure and inspect products.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Assemble components as required, ensuring all parts fit together correctly and function as intended.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to machinery settings.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist
- Experience in aerospace or machining to tight tolerances medical, green energy, etc.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques.
- Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls is desirable
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
