Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Tool & Die Maker to build and design tools and gages to be used in production. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tool and die design, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and proficiency in operating various machining equipment and tools.

Essential Functions:

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and other technical data to plan construction and build tools and dies.

• Inspect finished tools and dies to verify conformance to specifications and make adjustments as necessary.

• Maintain tools for optimal performance and repair damaged or malfunctioning tools and dies to minimize production downtime.

• Collaborate with engineers and production team members to optimize tooling designs for efficiency and quality.

• Run production equipment as needed and maintain proficiency in all tool room equipment setup and operation.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and inventory of tools, materials, and equipment.

• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with machinery and tools.

• Three years’ experience as a tool maker or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience working with aerospace parts preferred.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

• Strong understanding of GD&T.

• Ability to use precision measurement instruments and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on a team.
