Position Summary:

The MAT/MOUD Prescriber will be responsible for the provision of MAT/MOUD medication management services for individuals diagnosed with substance use and other psychiatric disorders. Responsibilities include provision of psychiatric evaluation and ongoing treatment of those referred. Will participate in case review as indicated and case consultation as necessary, as well as participation in the program’s quality assurance program.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate to implement program-related psychiatric and operational practices, policies, and procedures.

• Ensure the thorough completion of all required psychiatric evaluations and medication management plans.

• Provide guidance, support, and consultation to clinical staff. Actively participate in all licensing and accreditation processes.

• Serve as a liaison to relevant service systems, state agencies and community partners as needed.

• Create and maintain relationships with local, state, federal, and private organizations to promote programs and to secure potential new alliances, partnerships, and funding sources.

• Pursue activities to enhance personal professional growth. Attend conferences and classes. Address groups and represent the agency. Attend and participate in statewide meetings, task forces and committees relating to area of expertise.

• Promote and integrate agency mission, values, philosophy, and principles.

• Perform other similar duties as assigned by the Medical Director.

• Registered/certified as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician’s Assistant (PA) or APRN in the state of Massachusetts required.

• DEA license in good standing, as well as the ability and experience for MAT/MOUD prescribing.

• Experience providing medical services in a substance use and/or behavioral health treatment setting or equivalent.
