CNC Operator

Job Description

  • Run and set-up machines
  • Operate numerical, controlled lathes or machining centers to perform simple repetitive rough turning, boring, facing, and threading
  • Read and interpret blue prints
  • Select tools and holders, install appropriate fixtures or other holding devices and align and set stops to complete set-up of machines
  • Set feeds and speeds in accordance with machinability of material and finish requirements as specified or directed
  • Load and unload machine manually and check product with appropriate measuring tools and gauges
  • Observe machine to detect faulty operation
  • Clean, oil, and lubricate machine and make minor adjustments and repairs as required

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to three years related experience
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Gauging knowledge
  • Experience with Haas, Okuma, Mazak and Daewoo lathe machines preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Additional Information

  • Monday – Thursday, 3:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
