Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate 3 and 4 axis CNC machines, complying with individual machine procedures.
  • Select the appropriate tools, materials, and programming parameters for each job.
  • Load materials into the CNC machine and secure them properly.
  • Meet production requirements by following dispatch list, assist with shift crossovers and monitoring workflow, and focus on continuous improvement in productivity.
  • Meet quality standards by maintaining certifications, using proper handling techniques, and following all written guidelines and procedures.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize production processes and troubleshoot minor mechanical malfunctions.
  • Operate miscellaneous equipment such as the laser drill, scope, bevel, and oven.
  • Assist in training and development by mentoring new operators.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines by wearing PPE, following safety rules and regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior CNC training required; minimum 2 years’ of PCB experience preferred.
  • Ability to complete sheet metal fabrication preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Ability to program using FANUC and HAAS controller experience.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools and precision instruments including calipers and micrometers.
  • Experienced in creating programs on a 3-axis vertical milling machine.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues during the production process.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Additional Information

  • The work environment may involve exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and industrial materials. Proper safety equipment and precautions will be provided.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends if necessary.
