• Read job order to determine malfunction and plan work procedures

• Install new ignition systems, align front wheels, change or recharge batteries, and replace transmissions and other parts

• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments

• Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired truck to verify conformance to specifications

• Perform DOT safety checks

• Evaluate and troubleshoot using standard diagnostic procedures to determine best practice for repair

• Maintain emissions testing equipment and conduct appropriate emissions testing as required

• Operate a manual jack and ensure that all safety precautions are taken to avoid unsafe conditions or hazards

• Order parts and maintain an appropriate inventory level

• Schedule preventive maintenance as required

• Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products

• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required
